Eligibility Criteria

To apply for an American Express Platinum Edge Card, you’ll need to be able to meet the following criteria

Be aged 18 or over
Have an annual income of $50,000 or more
Have the right to work in New Zealand, and
If self-employed, have been trading for at least 18 months (or 12 months if I hold an existing American Express issued Card)

Complimentary Air New Zealand Return Flight

One of the great perks of the American Express Platinum Edge is the complimentary domestic Air New Zealand flight you receive each membership year. This ongoing benefit offsets the annual fee of the card. You can book your complimentary flight up to 2 weeks in advance and seat selection + a checked bag are included. Earning Points

The American Express Platinum Edge Card earns points in the Membership Rewards Program. This is a flexible program which allows you to transfer to a range of frequent flyer partners. In addition, you can also redeem your points for gift cards or direct flight and travel purchases with Hello World and Webjet. If you have other members of your household over 18, you can give them a free additional card under your account to further accelerate your points earning potential.
